“Odyssey” – Woven Bezel Pendant – Wirewrapped Pendant Tutorial

This lesson teaches you how to make a stylish woven bezel for a cabochon.

The Odyssey pendant is a very versatile design. There are many ways to alter the technique to make it truly your own. By varying the width of the bezel or the bail, altering the spiral, or adding one of many other techniques you may already know, you can create an entirely new pendant design.

This tutorial shows how to make the Black Onyx Odyssey Pendant shown in the first picture. Tips for making the other pendants can be found at the end of the tutorial, but only the basic design is fully illustrated.

Material List:
* 12” Round 20g wire dead soft or half hard
* 7½’ Round 28g wire dead soft
* 1 13mm x 18mm cabochon (a flattened oval bead of the same size will work as well)

Tool List:

* Chain nose pliers
* Round nose pliers
* Wire cutters
* Flat nose pliers
* Needle file or cup burr (wire rounder)
* Ruler
* Marker
