This wire wrapping tutorial was originally published in the Spring 2012 issue of Wirework Magazine. The design is based on my Carnival Pendant tutorial. For this version, I simplified the design by having swirls come down from the top only, instead of both top and bottom.

In this lesson you will learn how to create a unique wire wrapped ear cuff filled with ornate swirls and beads. The beautiful thing about this base design is that you can alter in so many ways that no matter how many you make, you will never have to make 2 of them that are exactly the same.

You can use it to attach a larger border to a wire wrapped stone. I’ve even used this technique to secure stones in many different types of settings.
